Rajiv kept his son’s first birthday at home.

Instead of a hall and balloons, he kept the gathering small — just family, just home — and put the difference into sponsoring a dog through SIF.

Champa is one year old, female, and lives at the chai stall on Rajiv’s street. SIF used the donation for her sterilization and a full vaccination panel. She now shares a birthday year with his son.

Bhola and Lali · senior community dogs · Ara

Birthday · April

Nikita turned 28 with two community dogs.

No restaurant dinner, no party. Nikita sponsored two senior community dogs in Ara — Bhola and Lali — for their annual vaccinations and a winter feeding budget.

SIF sent her a digital card with both dogs’ photos and a short note about who they are. She now has two more living things to think about on her birthday than she did the year before.
